It was Sagmeister's dying lily which i used as inspiration for my vows booklet. I love Sagmeisters experimentation with typography.
This typography has been hand created in the environment. Sagmeister is experimental with typography and likes to push boundaries. Here he has taken a collection of photos of typography he has created and arranged them into a sentence/phrase. These photos are like manipulated versions of things that you can actually find in nature/in the environment.
This poster is using hand rendered typography. It has actually been carved into the body of sagmeister by his assistant. The typography is sans serif and is generally in uppercase. There is one word which is in script: ‘style’. As the typography has been hand created, there isn't really a consistency in the tracking, the leading and with the baseline.
This poster for lou reed reminds me of the one above. The typography has been written over the top of the photography. Similarly to the other poster, the typography has no consistency with tracking, leading and baseline
